"Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint.
It allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour - similar to what nature gives us as children - with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines."
Hair is a gorgeous and exciting process.
I am so lucky that I get to do my passion for a living, and its days like these that make me sit back and be proud of the hard work and education that goes into a beautiful outcome.
This process for taking Ashley back blonde was a 5 1/2 hour day that after it was all said and done, turned out just like we hoped. Maybe even better!
I wanted to share the steps I took in getting her from faded mermaid hair, To the gorgeous color we have pictured at the top!
I can't stress it enough to my clients and other hairstylist's, that a color correction takes time and patience.
I try my hardest to get it right the first time, so when I approach hair it might be different then how others would do it.
Thats the great part about being a stylist, we all have our own tricks and I love that I can share the ones I've learned and the methods I use.
●Tips on how to Fade Temporary Color-
1. Wash hair in hot water
2. Use a Clarifying Shampoo
3. Take a dip in the ocean/pool water
4. Make sure to use a good mask to keep your hair healthy while fading it out
