Edgy Pastel Ombre Makeup Tutorial
Spring is all about color, color and more color, so what better way to show our spring spirit than by wearing a look that features 3 beautiful, vibrant colors? This edgy ombre makeup tutorial is for daring beauty junkies only, so keep on scrolling if you dare!
Step 1. Apply Primer
Let’s start with a primer around the eyes. The primer Mariah uses is Benefit Lemon Aid Eyelid Primer.

Step 2. Apply Foundation
Take your favorite lightweight foundation and dot it on the areas that need the most coverage. Blend it out.

Step 3. Concealer
Apply concealer under the eye, around the nose and on any blemishes. Be sure to blend, blend, blend.

Step 4. Brightening Powder
Then, take Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder and apply it under the eyes to give them an awake, fresh appearance. You don’t have to use Laura Mercier, but opt for a matte brightening powder, rather than one with shimmer. You don’t want to look like a raccoon wearing an eye mask made of glitter.

Step 5. Eyeshadow
Choose a warm gray shadow as your base color. Apply it on the outer crease of the lid.

Take a darker shade of gray and apply that on the outer corner of the lid’s crease.

Choose a bright lilac color for the inner corner of the lid and blend to the outer corner of the eyelid (the darker gray shade).

Step 6. Eyeliner
Create a thin, winged eyeliner.

Tip: If the wing is a little messy, use an angled brush with foundation to clean up any rough edges.
Step 7. Lower Lashes
Apply a complimentary shade to the initial one you chose (if following the tutorial, opt for a pale, cream shade with a hint of shimmer) and apply the color to the inner corner of your eye.

In the middle of the lash line, apply a bold mint-green shade for a pop of intensity.
